Cambodia's climate and incredible wildlife

Weather wisdom

The country experiences two main seasons: the dry season from October to April, and the wet season from May to September. Max temperatures are around 82 to 83 degrees Fahrenheit. Cambodia has ~200 inches of rainfall throughout the year, 3/4 of it happening during monsoon season.

Unique wildlife

Cambodia is home to the endangered Irrawaddy dolphin in the Mekong River. It also has the majestic Banteng, a wild cattle species that had a 95% decline in its population in the late 1960s and early 1990s. The Pygmy Slow Loris is known for its large beady eyes. They can be found east of the Mekong River but they also faced a population decline due to being hunted for traditional Khmer medicines.
